With each installment the story becomes more complex, more intertwined and definitely more twisted and there is no doubt a storm is brewing and the aftermath will most likely blow everyone away. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures

Stunned…that’s what I am as Crosswinds ended. I shouldn’t be, because well teenage girls can beatruegemaward mean and ruthless, but I am. In Elisabeth Naughton’s episode of this epic small town tale, we are drawn more into the lives of the younger members of Storm, Texas. We see one girl desperately trying to hang on to the boy that has come to mean so much to her, we see that girl’s best friend break her trust, we see a confused young man, and that young man’s best friend wondering not only what in the hell is wrong with him but trying to console the girl he obviously has feelings for who was wronged. So much happens in this story and while the high school set is front and center there are several other developments that just add to the drama, the intrigue and the overall intensity of this series.

I am so drawn to these characters and their crazy, screwed up lives and with this younger crowd how they don’t think about how their actions will affect so many people in so many different ways. In addition we see Ginny Moreno whose pregnancy has rocked this small town drawn to a man she once had a crush on as he returns from his time in the service. Given the secrets she carries with her I’m very curious as to where this will lead.

With each installment the story becomes more complex, more intertwined and definitely more twisted and there is no doubt a storm is brewing and the aftermath will most likely blow everyone away. While Ms. Naughton’s episode dealt with different characters in this saga, the story flowed seamlessly from the last one and I am in awe of the way these authors are blending their voices and their styles to create this amazing and startling tale.
