This may only be the second episode in the Rising Storm saga but holy sh*t things are getting 
hotter, messier and there are even more secrets and interesting associations being made. I was completely drawn back into this series and despite this episode being written by a totally different author; it didn’t skip a beat. Yes, this one focused on some different characters but the ongoing drama is still there, the lies just keep growing and I found it just as intriguing as the Tempest Rising if not more so.
In this book we see that Senator Sebastian Rush is even more of a slimeball that we thought in the first episode. We see that his wife, Payton, while happy to play her part is not quite as happy as everyone seems to think and she’s beginning to want something more out of life and we see that his mother, Marylee, really is quite the puppet master.
The Alvarez family is working at coming to terms with the disappearance of husband, father and wife beater, Hector, and while his princess daughter, Dakota, is beyond upset his younger daughter, Mallory, tells her mother it was probably for the best and lets Joanne know she was well aware what was going on in their household despite her mother’s insistence that she was just clumsy. Meanwhile Sherriff Dillon Murphy is working overtime to make sure Joanne and her children are okay.
The stage is set and there is no doubt life in Storm is only going to get way more interesting as this series goes on. Who will come out on top, whose secrets will be revealed, will careers be ruined, and will families be torn apart? Only time will tell and I’ll be honest I can’t wait to see what happens next and I’m anxiously awaiting Episode 3 of Rising Storm; this series is addicting, twisted, exciting and flat out impossible to forget!
