Can you hear the thunder rolling? Okay so maybe it was the torrential storms outside my window
as I read Take The Storm, episode 6 in the Rising Storm series, but inside the pages of this book a whole lot is brewing and my head is spinning because of it. Rebecca Zanetti’s installment in this series brought forth a lot of questions and really has me on the edge of my seat as we approach the end of this season of books.
The Moreno family was featured heavily in this book with Luis getting into some trouble but also making amends, pregnant Ginny is growing closer to Logan with each passing day but the secret she’s carrying could tear them apart, and Marisol made a big decision about her life which I’ll be honest crushed me. Marisol and Ginny seem to be bonding better as the sisters they are now that Ginny isn’t under her roof and Luis is finding out that taking responsibility for stupid actions comes at a price.
In addition Marcus Alvarez refuses to back away from Brittany Rush despite her family’s threats and even though Brittany finds out Marcus may be leaving town soon she just can’t seem to tear herself away. Marcus’ sister, Dakota continues to make some big mistakes one that could put her in danger if she’s not careful.
As the Founder’s Day celebration nears, I have a feeling with the whole town assembled some interesting things are going to happen; some might be good, but I have a feeling most will shock the citizens of Storm, Texas and leave them reeling.
As each episode in this series unfolds I find that I can’t wait to read the next one, I think about the implications of everything going on and most of all I worry how many lives will be uprooted and ruined once the secrets begin to come out. So, yes you could say I’m more than a little addicted to this series but I’m enjoying every minute of it mostly because I enjoy seeing a bit of each author’s personal style in the episode they write yet they manage to maintain the fluidity of the story throughout.
