What in the fuck did I just read? I am still so confused and my mind has been totally fucked by not only Lux but this entire series. Shouldn’t I have answers instead of more questions? Normally when you come to the end you aren’t supposed to be even more confused than when you started. It felt like a twisted, mind fucking, version of Groundhog Day. I still don’t know what was real, what wasn’t or who is who. You might think with that description of how I felt once I was done that I hated it, but in fact the opposite is the truth. I loved it, I may not totally understand it all but I loved each and every twisted word I read. This is one book and series that I will never forget because my mind just can’t stop trying to figure out what actually happened.
Dare and Calla’s story is one filled with twists, turns, darkness, light, truth and lies. I am not exaggerating when I say this series will fuck with your mind. I, along with Gabi, couldn’t wait to get my hands on Lux because we needed to see what was going to happen. I can’t speak for Gabi but I figured out one or two plot things before they were confirmed but even those small little victories didn’t last long because within a few pages, hell even a few sentences I was confused once more.

I can’t help it, there is just something about Lux especially that has me in its vortex and continues to suck me in.

The entire Nocte trilogy has messed with me throughout all 4 books. I found myself repeating “Did I seriously just read that?” and go back to re-read and verify I wasn’t insane. I truly believe this book has the capacity to make you question your own sanity and morals. As a reader I found myself asking if I would do the same or telling Calla not to do that, or OH YES Calla DO IT!!! Dare was easy to love but not easy to trust throughout this book. The storyline and the twists and turns are GENIUS in a scary crazy way.
But I found there was a bit to much craziness in this book for it to be as EPIC as I was expecting. I expected crazy but I felt like it was too many twists and too many questions and turns in the plot for me to enjoy. I felt the minute I had a handle on one scene the next made me Throw my hands up and eyes to skies and question WHY?!?
This was a good book to close the series, although with Ms. Cole I don’t know that there is truly closure because like with the rest of the series I wouldn’t be surprised if she came out and said ” Ha Ha! I got you, you thought this was done didn’t you?…Oh no! We’re just getting started”.
