Some answers were given but a whole lot more of WTF was being said throughout this book. ~ Gabi, Guilty Pleasures

I never knew what the consequences would be.
I say that like it’s a defense, an excuse.
It’s not. It’s simply the truth.
I never knew what he would become to me.
Through everything, he’s become everything.
My rock, my air, my love.
My everything.
And then….
Things changed.
Because it was wrong.
Because sometimes, our sons must pay for the sins of their fathers.
Or their mothers.
I’m afraid that I’m lost,
that I’m damned.
After you read this, you’ll probably agree.
Really, it doesn’t matter.
All that matters is that I save him.
Because he shouldn’t pay for my sin.
Judge me if you like.
But keep reading.
This is our beginning.
This is where the darkness truly starts.

This is a NOCTE Trilogy novella, with a preview of LUX at the end.
Series reading order:
Nocte
Verum
Initium
Lux

I devoured this Novella in about 30 minutes and immediately texted my BFF “WTF did we just read?” I think if you took a pretty messed up horror film that was more the psycho thriller than the gasher type film this series and book would be #1. Seriously who writes such freaky scenes. How does her brain think of these scenes in such detail that she’s able to write them. I found myself muttering gibberish just because I was speechless and in shock. Answers were definitely given but by then end I’m in DIRE NEED for Lux. I have got to know the 30 minute journey I just took didnt drop me off in a padded cell muttering to myself Or my BFF who may or maynot exist. So again Cheers to you Courtney Cole you managed to make me question my sanity and humanity again!

If you have read the previous books make sure you grab this one to fill in the time before Lux, you will learn more, have more questions and lose your mind all over again. Just be prepared to have you mind thoroughly f#cked once more. ~ Cheyenne, Guilty Pleasures

I will warn everyone in advance that there will be swearing and if you have read this series from the start you will understand why, I think I said the following words at least 100 times when I this short novella. No I am not exaggerating. “What the fuck did I just read?” Seriously I could probably just write that as my review and you would get it if you have read the first two books.
Initium was just an appetizer for what I KNOW Lux will be when it is released. This series is one that fucks with your mind, you wonder if what you have read is what you have actually just read and it keeps you coming back for more. Maybe it is a sign that my own mind is sick and twisted, because this one is fucking more twisted than anything I have read in a long time. You have even more questions than answers. My book bestie and fellow reviewer Gabi read it before I did so when I texted her while I was reading it my texts ranged from what the fuck, omg is that about so and so (not gonna tell you gotta read it for your own), did I just read that right and holy shit I need Lux right now.
If you have read the previous books make sure you grab this one to fill in the time before Lux, you will learn more, have more questions and lose your mind all over again. Just be prepared to have you mind thoroughly fucked once more.

Thanks for the two-fer ladies you definitely have me wanting to check this series out
