Sky of Dreams is a complete departure from Jenna Jacobs past work, but none the less an atruegemawardexcellent read for all that.

Kaitlin Grant returns home to Connor, Iowa to lick her wounds and recover from an abusive relationship with her boyfriend and business partner. She hopes to rediscover the strong person she used to be, but she is not prepared to have a run in with the boy she left behind, Sky Whitefeather. But
Sky is no longer a boy and he has his own demons to battle as well as a daughter to raise.

But both parties find the connection they had as children and then teenagers has continued in spite of time and trauma. Can these two tortured souls find their way back to each other while battling their inner demons and dealing with the danger trailing after Katie?

The main characters were both likable, flawed but honest, strong yet vulnerable, and the secondary cast was no less fascinating. The sex scenes were scorching, but vanilla, unlike the author’s earlier work which is set primarily in a BDSM club.

My only concern is the fact that Katie has worked hard to build up her advertising agency and to just dump it and her success runs against the grain.

Still, this story will grab your attention from the very beginning and keep it throughout. Well written and captivating, this is an enjoyable read.

  1. Thank you for the review, Shadow. Don’t be too concerned about Katie dumping her agency…there’s still lots more stories in this new contemporary series to come. *Smooch* <3 <3
