This story was an easy way to pass the time and the sex was great, but for me, it just didn’t give me anything I haven’t read before. ~ Leigh, Guilty Pleasures

I have to say, my opinion of this book was all over the place.

For the first half, I found it light, but unrealistic and predictable. Jaynie walks in on her fiancé in the midst of a threesome. Hurt and betrayed, she runs to her best friend’s house. Her best friend, Kate, lives with her brother, Brian, who also happens to be Jaynie’s business partner. In an effort to make herself feel better, Jaynie offers herself to Brian, and a night of wild sex ensues.

After the one night, fast forward several months. No one mentions what went on, no one discusses it. In fact, it seems like Jaynie and Brian hardly speak at all. This would be plausible if they didn’t work together and Jaynie wasn’t now living in Brian’s garage apartment. But this changes when Jaynie is invited to her ex’s wedding and needs a date so that she’s not there not alone.

Hold up.

Why anyone would contemplate going to a wedding of an ex that cheated on them three months ago is beyond me. This seemed like too easy of a device to throw Brian and Jaynie together, but back to the plot.

Jaynie and Brian rekindle their connection.

At this point, although I found the story to be predictable, I was starting to enjoy it. The sex was steamy and hot, Brian had the dominance thing going for him, and his feelings for Jaynie were more than just sexual. He truly cared for her and it was sweet, and I was becoming a fan of the story.

And then it stopped.

The book didn’t truly end. The story just stopped without really finishing. And to be honest, I felt cheated. I was expecting the story to go somewhere, but instead it just meandered and then fell off and was done. The actions in the story were too predictable and I found that I didn’t really have a connection with any of the characters. They were all too one dimensional.

This story was an easy way to pass the time and the sex was great, but for me, it just didn’t give me anything I haven’t read before.
