This book was like an inexperienced lover who meant well but just couldn’t please me properly. ~ Afrodyt, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
New neighbors are bad news in Samantha Harper’s experience. Especially ones as suspicious and brooding as the guy who just moved in next door. So when the dangerous but sexy stranger seems to be involved in something illegal—the aspiring cop in her takes action. If only she could stop thinking about how he looks naked…
All DEA agent Ash Cooper wants to do is lay low and survive this crap surveillance assignment. But after a run-in with his attractive neighbor, he realizes that’s going to be much harder than he planned. Keeping the woman out of trouble is hard enough, but keeping his hands off her is near impossible.

This book was like an inexperienced lover who meant well but just couldn’t please me properly. All the elements were there for a great read, but the execution left something to be desired.
I found it really difficult to take this story seriously. There was plenty of action yet not a chapter went by that I didn’t roll my eyes at some stupid thing Sam or Ash said or did. It just felt forced, predicable and cliche. The choreography of the sex scenes were disjointed and hard to follow as was the chemistry between The main characters. Not my idea of a good read, unfortunately.
Doesn’t sound like a good read to me either…thanks for sharing your thoughts Afrodyt
