Melissa Foster is new to the gay (M/M) romance genre and Tempting Tristan is an admirable start. While there was a bit of insta/lust-love these two men had a connection to someone that made them immediately comfortable with one another. I really appreciated that these characters were well developed, that while there was A LOT of sex in this book, these two men shared so much with one another, and that they helped each other move on from their insecurities and past hurt.
Following a really bad breakup Tristan is off men and off relationships until the night Alex walks into the Taproom and sparks his interest. Tristan is wary, but Alex is hopeful and persistent and the both can’t deny the chemistry between them. Both of these men are fighting some demons and they sometimes get in the way of their relationship, but what I loved is that they communicated quite well and didn’t let the other one hide their thoughts or feelings.
Tristan and Alex were great, but the secondary characters were equally interesting and offered a lot of support and advice to them when they needed it most. I’d also like to think they had a bit of divine guidance to help them along the way as well.
