Review – Friday I’m in Love (Wild Irish #5) by Mari Carr

I guess I have to say that I am amazed that Mari Carr could take one family and write so many different stories about each of them. I have loved every book in the Wild Irish series but, Ewan’s story was more. It was emotional, then romantic … it was funny, then serious. It’s hard to imagine two more books where the storylines are again different from all the rest. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures

Un-freaking-believable. I did not see Ewan’s story this way. But, boy was it great! Natalie starts offpurestdelightaward as a royal bitch and Ewan just gives it right back to her. I kept thinking “kill her with kindness, Ewan. You’ll wear her down.” It takes a little bit more than that but, in the end, we all won.

Natalie came off as a total bitch in the beginning. Yes, she was Sky’s best friend and she had a past that she kept buried but, the way she treats people was really, really mean. Once her past is revealed, you kind of understand her attitude and her moods. But, sometimes, I wanted to bitch-slap her. She did have a wicked sense of humor, when she allowed it to come out. She didn’t believe in love or romance, which was just wrong. It took a bet and the ministrations from a wonderful man to get her to open her eyes and see what’s been passing her by.

Ewan was fun, strong, resilient and romantic. He knew there was more to Natalie than what met the eye and he was determined to show her everything that she’s been missing while she hid behind the lens of her camera. He also knew that there was something she was holding back from him and, when he finds out, he really doesn’t know if he could convince her that he would be there through the good times and the bad.

One near miss. One panic attack. Two broken hearts.

One look at her camera. One return trip from the airport. Two hearts beating as one.

So, to find out just how talented Mari Carr is, I guess I will have to read Saturday Night Special.
