Review – Ruby Tuesday (Wild Irish #2) by Mari Carr

Not a minute of down time in Ruby Tuesday … the story flowed off the pages and into our hearts. Sky may have been the badass rocker but he knew how to win Teagan and her family over. He was funny and sweet and fell head over heels for Ruby. And, OMG what an ending. I cried, I sighed and then got all hot and bothered. Mari Carr has a way with revving a libido up, that’s for sure. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures

Sky Mitchell is hiding out in Baltimore, seeking peace and solitude while he struggles with a career decision. Lead singer of popular rock group The Universe, he’s thinking of going it alone. Wandering into an Irish pub, he’s ecstatic to discover the breakout single for his solo album—but the songwriter doesn’t want to sell. One musical challenge later, not only does he win the song, but also a writing partner to complete the rest of the album.

Teagan Collins has never aspired to fame and fortune. She’s content taking care of family, friends and neighbors, and singing in her family’s pub. Working on an album with Sky tests her patience…and her libido. The hot rocker plays her body like a fine instrument, their desire deepening with each song they write.

But someone doesn’t want Sky to go solo, and is repeatedly trying to sabotage the couple’s efforts. Undaunted, Sky wants Teagan to join him onstage at his farewell concert to sing her original, “Maybe Tomorrow”…

If they make it through today.

Tuesday’s child is full of grace…..

Okay. I didn’t see this coming. Sky and Teagan were volatile, fun and hot. purestdelightaward

Our shy little Teagan … such a wee lass with her red hair and the voice of an angel. She volunteers, she helps people in need and she sings in her family’s pub just to put smiles on the patron’s faces. When rock star Sky Mitchell hears her sing, he knows she is his ticket out of The Universe and on the road to his solo career.

One song. One bet. Teagan is his to make music with for a month.

What a month it turned into.

A Hippie and a Rocker. Long, flowing skirts and tight jeans. Acoustic guitar, electric guitar. Do they really go together? Um, yea. Better than you think they would.

Sky wants Maybe Tomorrow so he could record it his way. Teagan refuses to let him record it his way. He doesn’t know the word compromise and she is a stubborn as the day is long. But, writing together, getting to know each other takes its toll on both of their hearts. Sky doesn’t want to put Teagan in the spotlight and Teagan is content to be in the background. It takes a threat and the support of the whole Collins clan to truly let them see just how much their hearts and music mesh together to form a beautiful love song.

Yea, that was a little corny. But, these two brought that out in me.

Again, Mari Carr came through but, this time, she threw in a little suspense with the hot and sweaty. And, just as before, I couldn’t wait for Ruby Tuesday to end just so I could go on to Waiting for Wednesday.
