I truly laughed throughout this story. Mari Carr showed us her inner comedian with Saturday Night Special. I’ve read a lot of books. I’ve laughed through a lot of them too. But never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to run into Elvis, Wayne Newton, a deranged housewife, a depressed husband, a stripper, a hooker, a cop and a food fight all in one chapter. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
What do you get when you cross a gold-digging stripper, a down-on-her-luck hooker, an estranged husband, his knocked-up wife, a Wayne Newton lookalike taxi driver and one beleaguered Baltimore cop?A typical night in the life of Riley Collins-Vegas style.Riley’s always been the wildest of the Collins clan, but even she bites off more than she can chew during an impromptu trip to Sin City. Once again, it’s Aaron Young to the rescue. No surprise; Aaron’s been watching Riley’s ass forever-and he’s wanted to spank it for even longer. Tracking her down, Aaron finally gets his wish-after he drags a drunken Riley to a chapel and makes it legit, of course. To say she’s shocked is putting it mildly. But Riley warms to Aaron’s seduction quicker than you can say “all-you-can-eat buffet!” Who knew her mild-mannered best friend was so hot in the sack? Of course, thanks to Riley’s penchant for picking up strays, the newlyweds will have to sneak in some honeymoon boom-boom whenever they can. But they’ll manage…

I have been waiting for Riley’s story and I swore that I would hurt someone if she didn’t end up with Aaron. This woman was a hellion throughout this whole series and I couldn’t wait to see just how Aaron was going to get her. Of course, in normal Riley style, there was nothing conventional about it. Unfortunately for her … what happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas.
Honestly, I didn’t mention anything about Riley in my previous reviews because she was so unique. There was no way to explain, until now, just how crazy and wonderful she was. Yes, each of the siblings had their own insecurities, fought their own feelings but they always had each other. Riley always seemed to be hiding behind the “good time” and Aaron always seemed to be the one rescuing her. You knew that he had to be doing this for more than his best friend. When the opportunity arose, he took advantage and made sure that she would only wreak havoc when he was by her side.
And, the boom-boom … Riley met her match in the bedroom and beyond. It was wonderful watching her accept her fate with Aaron by her side and finally admitting that his love was what was missing all this time.
The other five books in this series had beautiful happy endings. They were romantic and heartfelt. But, none of them could hold a candle to this one. The HEA actually happened in the middle of the book and the ending just solidified everything. I’ve come to love and know this family so well that I felt like I was in the middle of pub with them, celebrating, laughing and having a shot with them. There is only one of the Collins clan left … Sean. I have no idea where Mari Carr is going to take us with him but I am really looking forward to seeing just where Any Given Sunday is going to take us.
