Blurb:
As a chief stewardess on luxury superyachts, I massage egos, pamper the spoiled and cater to the most outlandish desires of the rich and famous.

I’ve never had a guest want something I can’t give them. Until British businessman Hayden Wolf comes aboard—all sexy swagger and mysterious requests.
He wants me.

And Hayden Wolf’s a man who’s used to getting exactly what he demands.

Despite being serious and focused. Demanding and ruthless. He’s also charming when I least expect it as well as being devastatingly handsome with an almost irresistible smile.

But guests are strictly off limits and I’ve never broken a rule. Not even bent one. My family are depending on me and I can’t lose my job.

Only problem is Hayden Wolf is looking at me like I just changed his life. And he’s touching me like he’s about to change mine.

A standalone romance.

I have to give author Louise Bay a whole lot of credit for being able to tell this story when a good 95 percent of it takes place on a luxury yacht. Think about that for a minute, this is a good sized book somewhere in the 90 thousand word range and while the yacht is big, that’s not a lot of change of scenery for a book this size. However, Ms. Bay wrote a fantastic romance filled with tension, intrigue, and some sizzling sexy times.

Being a stewardess on luxury yachts was not Avery Walker’s career choice, but it is one she is good at and the money she makes helps her be able to send money home to help with her paralyzed brother’s medical care. She has a fantastic reputation and so when she is asked to take a special charter in which all crew members were vetted very carefully, she accepts knowing the extra money will go a long way to the extra therapy her brother needs.

Hayden Wolfe is a successful businessman who in the last year has had trouble making the deals he needs to make to satisfy his investors, realizing he has a leak at his company he decides to work his next deal about a yacht on his own while his security team tries to figure out where the leak is in his company.

From the minute Hayden meets Avery sparks fly, but Avery is a professional and keeps her distance even though she admits she enjoys the attention Hayden pays her. They do their best to deny the attraction, but it eventually becomes too much and while off the yacht they act on it, after that there is no going back even when they know they should stay apart.

One thing I really loved about this book is despite Hayden’s wealth he never looked down on Avery or considered her beneath his class. He enjoyed her company, he love her work ethic, and it amused him that she spoke her mind and made him understand that the staff wanted to serve him and he needed to let them. I believe Hayden really wasn’t use to nor did he expect to be waited on hand and foot and it kind of embarrassed him. I liked Hayden, he was driven and dedicated, but I also believe he was fair and wanted to believe the best in people. He made some mistakes, but he wouldn’t let go until he proved he was right or wrong and for that I respected him. I admired Avery for her dedication to her family and her loyalty to her friends and those she loved. She had a heart of gold, nerves of steel, and devoted in ways most people are not. Together they were magic and I loved how easily they opened up to one another.

A Ruthless Gentleman has it all betrayal, trust, forgiveness, but most of all love and it was an extremely enjoyable read.
