I love that author Lucy Score writes flawed characters; it makes them so relatable and while I sometimes get frustrated with them, it’s also why I love them. ~ Slick – Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews
Synopsis:
Beckett Pierce is the most eligible bachelor in the nosiest small town in upstate New York. But after his last girlfriend handcuffed herself to his porch and set his welcome mat on fire, he’s not looking for any more romance.
Even if it lands right in his backyard. And has miles of red hair.
Gianna Decker has her hands full—no, overflowing—with problems. With two kids, a useless ex, and a brand new yoga studio, the last thing on her mind is finding a man who’ll cause her more problems.
Making out with her broody landlord? Yeah, that would be a problem. Lusting after the sexy mayor of her new town? Definitely a problem. Dating the “favorite” son of her father’s new lady friend? Beckett is a horrible, horrible idea.
But when they find themselves thrown together again and again, they decide a few stolen kisses won’t hurt anyone. A few moments of sizzling passion can’t possibly cause any trouble. At least, not until tempers flare when their families complicate things and the interfering citizens of Blue Moon step in with their special brand of chaos.

Opposites attract in the second book in Lucy Score’s Blue Book series, Fall Into Temptation. Mayor and attorney Beckett Pierce find his new tenant, Gianna Decker (Gia), alluring despite the fact she’s a single mom of two and a yoga instructor of all things. I love that this author writes flawed characters, that makes them so relatable and while I sometimes get frustrated with them, it’s also why I love them.
First off, kids in romances…in this day and age this is a realistic plot with the divorce rate as high as it is. In the case of this book, the kids add so much to this story. Evan is the son of Gia’s ex-husband, but he lives with her. A pre-teen with the wisdom of someone much older, he is hard to resist and his advice to anyone who will listen is always spot on. Aurora (Rora or Roar) is a precocious 5 year old who plays hard, lives loud, and loves fiercely and she gloms on to “Bucket” the minute she meets him.
Beckett is a man who loves is family and feels compelled to serve the community in which he was raised. He is a good man, but his resistance to his mother dating again was a bit over the top. Gia is strong and capable and works hard to provide for her two children and to be a present parent, something their father has never really been. The attraction between Beckett and Gia is obvious from the start and while it does take them awhile to finally get together when they do it is hot. However, it is the building of a relationship and the “family” feel to what they have with her kids that really made this story enjoyable.
Fall Into Temptation was fun, charming, a bit frustrating at times, but overall a very enjoyable book.
