Like most everything else by this author, this book was totally unique. It wasn’t quite paranormal, but rather a romance with a hint of the charming and mystical thrown in. It was cute and thought provoking and did not turn out like I thought it would. It had a magic all its own, and was just adorable.

Have you ever wondered what you would wish for if you had one wish? Ginnie didn’t have to imagine as she was granted this very thing. And like every sane person, she immediately assumed that her genie with a bottle was crazy and delusional. This had me hysterical because it was a totally legitimate reaction I was not expecting. But when Ginnie finally realized that Marus, her gorgeous Mr. Wish, was completely serious (and not a crazy man to boot), she had to contemplate this very thing.

As with most of Mimi Jean’s books, any more information would ruin this story as it needs to be read for itself. But rest assured, it was adorable and insightful despite its snark and humor. Mimi Jean puts her characters in situations that we have all thought about and make us wonder what we ourselves would do. Her plots are fantastical and sometimes ludicrous, but always enjoyable. Wish will have you reevaluating what’s really important and keeping your fingers crossed for your very own genie in a bottle.

Now, just as I’m fighting to put my life back together, I find an unusual bottle with a note inside: “You get one wish. Make it count.” Har har. Someone’s idea of a joke?

But nothing could prepare me for what comes next or for the screamin’ hot man with piercing blue eyes who shows up at my door, making demands.

I should slam the door in his sex-god face, because this guy has trouble written all over him. But I can’t. Suddenly I do have a wish…
