My Vegas Groom while at times a bit predictable was nevertheless enjoyable, highly entertaining, and a fantastic addition to the Greene Family series. ~ Slick – Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Waking up next to a stranger wearing a wedding ring was not on the itinerary.

I came to Las Vegas for a quick girl’s trip, but somehow ended up a married woman. What I thought would stay in Vegas followed me back to my small town of Sunrise Bay, Alaska.

Of course, my new husband—MMA champion fighter, Logan Stone—couldn’t find me alone at my house to tell me he wants to give our impromptu nuptials a shot. He has to tell me in front of my entire family and half the town.

The two of us couldn’t be more opposite, but he offers me a deal I can’t refuse which involves me pretending we’re happily married for three months. Yeah, a lot of things can change in that short amount of time, most importantly catching feelings for a man whose lifestyle I despise.

Waking up in Vegas married has been used a lot in romance books, but I absolutely loved My Vegas Groom by Piper Rayne. When Nikki Greene wakes up in Vegas and discovers a naked man in the shower and a ring on her finger, she knows that tequila was to blame and while her new husband seems willing to make a go of it she flees back to Sunrise Bay, Alaska where her husband tracks her down throwing her family and the town in a bit of an uproar.

Nikki Greene has made her living reporting the town’s gossip on the radio for years, she never expected to ever report on her drunken marriage to MMA champion Logan Stone, but that’s exactly what she ends up having to do. Between fights, Logan is determined to spend time with Nikki and show her how good they can be. He has a feeling she’s exactly what he needs in his life and he has his mom’s approval and despite his manager’s disapproval it feels right. He fights an uphill battle with Nikki but helping her with some guests for the podcast she wants to start is enough incentive for her to “pretend” to be his wife. Little does she know Logan plays for keeps.

I loved these two together, but it was Logan that really stole my heart. He was so sure that they were meant to be and he didn’t let anyone or anything in Lake Starlight throw him and with Nikki’s huge and unusual family dynamics that’s saying something. Logan just rolled with the punches (pun intended) and showed Nikki every day how good they could be together if she would just give them a chance.  Nikki has relationship hang-ups after finding her father cheating as a young teenager and having to break the news to her Mom and then the scandal that ensued after they moved from Arizona to Alaska when her mom married her dad’s cousin. To say she has trust issues and enough of being talked about is putting it mildly but now as Logan Stone’s wife she’s back in the eye of the storm.

My Vegas Groom while at times a bit predictable was nevertheless enjoyable, highly entertaining and a fantastic addition to the Greene Family series.
