I LOVE ME CHALLENGE – Weight Loss Tools

Weight Loss Tools

Doctors always say write down everything that goes in your mouth.  I used to find it hard to do because I didn’t always have a pen and pencil on hand.  With today’s technology it is so easy to keep track. I carry my phone everywhere and have found a couple of really useful FREE sites to help keep track of what you eat and exercise.

The one I am used to using Livestrong.  A new one that I LOVE ME guest blogger Heather is using and I am going to check out  My Fitness Pal

I also found this cool recipe site, Skinny Taste, when I was looking at Heather’s Blog. I have gotten some cool recipes emailed to me since signing up on Skinny Taste.

I hope you check these sites out and let me know what you think or if you have any tools you use let me know.

I do need to tell you that my every day job is entering it’s peak season, so I may not be able to post I LOVE ME post daily, it may be every other day, please keep checking and keep doing what you are doing =)

I LOVE ME Thought of the Day

It’s never too late…..to defy time. They say time is relative. It is. It’s relative to the way you treat it. As an enemy it’s a negative. A deadly countdown. As a friend it’s all positive. A chance for exploration, for growth, for love, for enjoyment. Drink of it greedily! Patrick Lindsay

I checked out Heathers blog and found the foodgawker site from there. I had not seen it before and glad that you connected me to it thru heather. I really appreciate your “I Love Me” posts. I have a different body issue than weight and it inspires me to not focus on what I don’t like but what I do. Thanks so much!

  2. I honestly can not say enough about Skinny Taste and Food Gawker. I’ve made several recipes from both now and haven’t had one that was bad yet. I tend to get into the groove of eating the same thing over and over again and then I get bored. I’m REALLY trying to avoid that this time.

  3. Thanks for the resources! I find I run into trouble with recipes in the light and low fat section when they have artificial sweeteners and synthetic preservatives. I am allergic to most everything sweetener wise that is not straight sugar and I’m deathly (at least it makes me feel like I’m dying) to many preservatives in the MSG family. I have to be SO careful! No diet sodas, sugar-free coffees or drink mixes or food items for me. Makes losing weight SO hard. I generally stick to unsweetened ice tea or water. Sticking to non-allergy foods for me gets REALLY boring!
